Does your geophysical data need a little encouragement to shine? The data is there and all that is needed is a little more effort to present the data in ways that enhance features, trends, regions or even shallow versus deep sources. Often when producing enhanced grid products the objective is to gain new insight to features or responses existing in the data, but perhaps not readily seen. Data filtering or enhancement should never create anomalies that cannot be justified in the original data. In this data example we are comparing the same ternary image presented using RGB (red green blue) versus CMY (cyan magenta yellow). Both grids present the same data, however certain features clearly stand out in one versus the other. This type of presentation can often direct the observer to see features quicker than they may otherwise have been seen in the original data.
